This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It covers elainemorris.com only. Anything you share inside a coaching engagement is governed by your coaching agreement and is treated as confidential.
Who we are
Elaine Morris is an executive coach based in Charleston, South Carolina. For any question about this policy or about your information, write to elaine@elainemorris.com or call (214) 244-2592.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you complete the intake form we receive your name, email address, role, company and location, along with anything else you choose to tell us. If you email or call, we keep that correspondence.
Newsletter subscriptions. The newsletter is published on Substack. When you subscribe, your email address is held by Substack rather than by this website.
Site measurement. We use the analytics built into Framer, our website platform. It is aggregate and cookieless: it records pages viewed, the referring site, an approximate country and a device type. It sets nothing on your device, does not identify you, and does not follow you to other websites.
What we do not do
We do not advertise on this site. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta pixel and no LinkedIn tag on this website.
How we use information
To reply to enquiries and arrange coaching. To deliver the coaching you have asked for. To send the newsletter if you subscribed. To keep the site secure and working. And to meet our legal, tax and professional obligations.
Who else handles your information
Framer hosts this website and processes the technical records needed to deliver it. Substack operates the newsletter and holds subscriber email addresses. We do not pass your information to anyone else except where the law requires it.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site keeps storage on your device to a minimum. The Cookie Policy lists exactly what is stored, why it is there, and how to change your choices.
Your choices
You can change what this site may use at any time using the Your Privacy Choices link at the foot of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as an opt-out automatically, and you do not need to do anything further. You can leave the newsletter using the unsubscribe link in any issue.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and a growing number of other states have these rights under their state privacy laws. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.
To make a request, email elaine@elainemorris.com. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on it. If someone is making a request on your behalf we will ask for proof that they are authorised.
Global Privacy Control
Some browsers and extensions can send a Global Privacy Control signal, which tells every site you visit that you do not want your information sold or shared. This site detects that signal and applies it automatically, switching off anything optional and locking those controls so nothing can quietly turn them back on.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and coaching correspondence for as long as we have a working relationship, and for as long afterwards as we need it for legal, tax or professional reasons. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe.
Security
We use established providers and keep access to information limited to those who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Children
This site is intended for adults acting in a professional capacity. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page, and explain anything material here.
